Rajkot, 26th Feb. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday marked a historic milestone in the trajectory of India’s development by dedicating to the nation and laying the foundation stone for an array of transformative projects valued at over Rs 48,100 crores in Rajkot, Gujarat. These projects, spanning vital sectors including health, road infrastructure, railways, energy, petroleum & natural gas, and tourism, herald a new era of progress and prosperity for the region.
Addressing a distinguished gathering, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the virtual presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Hon’ble Governors, Chief Ministers of States, Members of Parliament, Legislative Assemblies, and Union Ministers.
Reflecting on a paradigm shift in governance, Prime Minister Modi underscored the decentralization of key developmental initiatives, symbolizing the government’s commitment to extending the reach of governance to every corner of the nation. He emphasized that today’s organization in Rajkot exemplifies this inclusive approach, paving the way for a new tradition of dedication and foundation stone laying ceremonies across multiple locations in the country.
Recalling his profound connection with Rajkot, Prime Minister Modi reminisced about his election as MLA from the city 22 years ago, expressing deep gratitude for the enduring affection he receives from its residents. He further recounted his spiritual experience earlier in the day at the submerged holy city of Dwarka, where he sought divine blessings, drawing inspiration for his vision of ‘Vikas aur Virasat.’
Highlighting the significance of today’s projects exceeding Rs 48,000 crores, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the inauguration of AIIMS facilities in Rajkot, Raebareli, Mangalagiri, Bathinda, and Kalyani, alongside numerous healthcare initiatives nationwide. He applauded the government’s accelerated pace of development, surpassing achievements of the past seven decades within the last ten days alone.
Reiterating the promise of ‘Modi ki Guarantee,’ Prime Minister Modi underscored his commitment to fulfilling commitments made to the nation, ensuring tangible progress and prosperity.
