New Delhi, 5th March: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Emmanuel Macron to discuss the evolving situation in West Asia and the need for diplomatic engagement to restore regional stability.
During the discussion, the two leaders expressed shared concerns over the ongoing developments in the region and emphasized the importance of returning to dialogue and diplomacy to address the crisis.
Prime Minister Modi said India and France would continue to remain in close contact and coordinate efforts aimed at ensuring the early restoration of peace and stability.
Sharing details of the conversation on social media, Modi said he had spoken with Macron about the situation in West Asia and reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to pursue diplomatic solutions.
India and France maintain a strong strategic partnership and frequently engage on regional and global issues, including security, economic cooperation and multilateral diplomacy.
