NDMA Showcases Disaster Risk Reduction Initiatives at 43rd India International Trade Fair
Presents PM’s vison on disaster risk reduction to the global audience

New Delhi, 14th Nov. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is participating in the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2024, currently being held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The exhibition aims to highlight NDMA’s achievements in disaster risk reduction while raising awareness about its policies, plans, and efforts towards disaster preparedness.
The NDMA stall was inaugurated today by Shri Rajendra Singh, Head of the Department and Member of NDMA, along with Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd.), Member of NDMA, and Shri Krishna S. Vatsa, Member of NDMA. Senior NDMA officials and staff were also present at the event’s opening.
The focus of the exhibition is on presenting the Prime Minister’s vision on disaster management, featuring 10 thematic panels that outline the 10-point agenda for disaster risk reduction proposed by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. The stall is designed to educate visitors on the government’s initiatives, policies, and guidelines related to disaster preparedness and response.
This year, NDMA’s booth offers a range of interactive activities for all age groups, with a special emphasis on engaging school students and children. Key attractions include Virtual Reality experiences that simulate disaster scenarios, 3D effect screens, anchor-moderated quizzes and games, and the presentation of recently launched guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) on disaster preparedness.
Additionally, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team is present to demonstrate their cutting-edge technologies, equipment, and products used in disaster management operations.
NDMA’s exhibition stall is located at Hall No. 5 (1st floor) adjacent to the Kids Zone and is open to visitors until November 27, 2024.
