NDA Vows 1 Crore Jobs, ₹2 Lakh Aid for Women in Bihar Manifesto
Bihar poll manifesto focuses on jobs, farmers’ welfare, housing, and free healthcare

Patna, 31st Oct: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) today released its joint manifesto for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, unveiling a comprehensive roadmap that combines economic empowerment with social welfare. The manifesto lays heavy emphasis on employment, women’s self-reliance, agricultural upliftment, and infrastructure modernization.
Employment for Youth:
The NDA has pledged to create over one crore government jobs by carrying out a state-wide skill census and establishing a mega skill center in every district to transform Bihar into a global-level training hub.
Women Empowerment:
Under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, women will receive financial assistance of up to ₹2 lakh. The alliance aims to make one crore Lakhpati Didis and launch ‘Mission Crorepati’ to nurture women entrepreneurs into millionaires.
Support for Backward Classes:
The manifesto promises ₹10 lakh financial aid to several underprivileged groups and proposes a Supreme Court-led committee to review and recommend measures for the upliftment of backward castes.
Farmers’ Welfare:
Farmers will receive ₹9,000 annually under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, alongside equal support for fish farmers. The NDA has announced a ₹1 lakh crore investment in agriculture infrastructure and MSP coverage for all major crops including rice, wheat, pulses, and corn.
Infrastructure Push:
Plans include modernization of seven expressways, 3,600 km of new rail tracks, Amrit Bharat expressways, and NaMo Rapid Rail projects, as well as metro services in four cities.
Urban Development and Aviation:
A ‘greenfield city’ will come up in New Patna with satellite townships in major cities. The manifesto also envisions a greenfield international airport in Patna and three more in Darbhanga, Purnia, and Bhagalpur, along with domestic air services in 10 new cities.
Industrial Growth:
A ₹1 crore investment in industrial development is planned, including manufacturing units and 10 industrial parks in every district to generate lakhs of jobs.
Social Welfare:
Key welfare promises include 50 lakh new houses under PM Awas Yojana, free ration, 125 units of free electricity, free healthcare up to ₹5 lakh, and social security pensions.
Education:
The NDA also pledged free education from kindergarten to post-graduation for poor students and provision of mid-day meals and breakfast in schools.
