Mumbai, 25th Nov. NCP (SP) working president Supriya Sule vowed to rebuild her party after its poor performance in the Maharashtra assembly elections, where it secured only 10 seats. In a statement on X, Sule expressed respect for the people’s mandate, pledged introspection, and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to creating a capable, inclusive, and progressive Maharashtra.

“We will introspect, learn, and rebuild with honesty and hard work,” Sule stated, acknowledging the need for deep reflection. She emphasized the party’s dedication to the rights of farmers, workers, women, youth, and marginalized groups.

The NCP (SP), led by Sharad Pawar, along with its Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies—Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT)—secured only 46 of the state’s 288 seats, compared to the ruling Mahayuti alliance’s landslide victory.

Sule expressed gratitude to voters, party workers, and the authorities for ensuring smooth elections, while congratulating those who won. “We remain steadfast in our vision and fight for a Maharashtra that fulfils the dreams of its people,” she added.

The ruling Mahayuti alliance, comprising BJP, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar-led NCP, won 132, 57, and 41 seats respectively, marking a significant setback for the opposition MVA.
