Pune, 7th March.
Supriya Sule, a prominent leader of the NCP (SP), weighed in on Wednesday, emphasizing that divergent views among family members do not equate to a family split, amidst murmurs of internal discord within the party. Notably, she pointed out the conspicuous silence of BJP leaders regarding alleged corruption within her party.

While refraining from directly naming Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, who had previously parted ways with her father, Sharad Pawar, to align with the Shiv Sena-BJP government, Sule underscored the unity within their sprawling family.

“Our family comprises around 120 to 125 members, ranging from small kids to elders. In such a vast family, differing opinions from one individual do not signify a schism,” stated Ms. Sule during an interaction with reporters in Pune.

Asserting the enduring unity of their family, Sule dismissed notions of fragmentation. However, she did not shy away from addressing remarks made by Union Minister Amit Shah, who suggested that Sharad Pawar had considered her for the position of chief minister.

Expressing gratitude towards Shah for what she termed as “freeing the NCP of corruption,” Sule noted the conspicuous absence of corruption allegations from BJP leaders. “Previously, whenever Shah visited Maharashtra, he would brand the NCP as a ‘naturally corrupt party.’ But now, the topic of corruption seems to have disappeared from their discourse. For this shift, I extend my thanks to the BJP and Shah,” she remarked.

Furthermore, Sule took a swipe at the BJP, alleging dynasty politics within their own ranks. The Baramati MP’s comments come amid ongoing political maneuvering and speculation surrounding the dynamics within the NCP.
