New Delhi, January 25: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah on Saturday extended warm greetings to all citizens on the occasion of National Voters’ Day, underlining the significance of voting in a democratic system.
Equal Power to Every Voter
In a message shared on social media platform X, Shri Amit Shah said that National Voters’ Day reminds citizens that the Constitution of India has given equal power to every voter. He noted that a right and informed vote has the strength to guide the nation in the right direction.
Protecting the Voting System
Highlighting the importance of free and fair elections, the Union Home Minister said it is the moral responsibility of every citizen to safeguard the country’s voting system. He stressed that no external factor should be allowed to pollute or influence the electoral process.
Pledge for a Developed India
Amit Shah further urged citizens to recommit themselves on Voters’ Day to align the power of their votes with the goal of building a developed and powerful India.
