National Girl Child Day: PM Praises Girls’ Determination and Achievements

New Delhi, 24th Jan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended girls as catalysts for change and emphasized his government’s commitment to creating a nation where they can learn, develop, and succeed.

In a post on National Girl Child Day, which aims to raise awareness about girls’ rights and the significance of female education and health, Modi stated, “Today, on National Girl Child Day, we honor the unwavering spirit and achievements of girls. We also acknowledge the immense potential of every girl in all sectors.”

He further added, “They are the ones who bring positive transformations to our nation and society. In the past decade, our government has implemented numerous initiatives to provide every girl with the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.”

In 2015, the Modi government launched its flagship program, ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ (Save daughters, educate daughters), to improve the child sex ratio and empower girls through various measures.
