Rae Bareli, 20th Aug: In a “Ghar Wapsi” event, a woman named Sanno Bano converted from Islam to Hinduism and adopted the name Sonali Pasi before marrying a Hindu man, Amit Pasi. The wedding ceremony, which followed the religious conversion, was held in the Salon area of Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli district.

According to reports, Sanno Bano and Amit Pasi, a resident of Bhavnipur village, had been in a relationship for some time. They wanted to marry but faced obstacles. Sanno Bano voluntarily decided to convert to Hinduism to move forward with their relationship.

The conversion ceremony was conducted with full rituals at the famous Mata Midharan Temple. Following the conversion, she was given the new name Sonali Pasi. The couple then proceeded with their wedding, taking seven vows in a traditional Hindu ceremony with Vedic mantras.

The marriage was attended by the groom’s parents, Shripal and Mamta Pasi, his brother, Sushil Pasi, and functionaries from Hindu youth organizations like Hindu Yuva Vahini. Sonali Pasi expressed her happiness and satisfaction, stating that the decision was entirely her own.
