Kurnool, 11th June.
In a disturbing turn of events, a TDP supporter, Gowrinath Chowdary, was reportedly murdered following a heated altercation in Kurnool district, as confirmed by police authorities on Monday. The incident occurred in Bommireddypalli village within the Veldurthi mandal, where Chowdary lost his life.

Pattikonda sub-divisional police officer Srinivas Reddy revealed that a murder case has been registered, with law enforcement actively pursuing leads to apprehend the perpetrators.

TDP’s general secretary, Nara Lokesh, pointed fingers at the YSRCP, alleging their involvement in Chowdary’s tragic demise. In a statement on social media platform ‘X’, Lokesh condemned the incident, vowing unwavering support for the victim’s family and asserting that justice will be served.

Meanwhile, a video circulating on social media, purportedly showing a man being humiliated and forced to apologize to a poster of Lokesh, has added fuel to the political fire. YSRCP’s official account on ‘X’ shared the video, condemning the alleged targeting of Dalits by TDP leaders and questioning the promised development by prominent political figures in the state.

The video has intensified political tensions, prompting the YSRCP to challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, and Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan on the state of affairs in Andhra Pradesh.
