New Delhi, 17th Feb. The Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) apprehended a foreign national in the Juhu area, allegedly in possession of MDMA (Methyl enedioxy methamphetamine) valued at ₹ 3.37 crore, as confirmed by an official report on Friday.
The arrest took place on Thursday near a prominent five-star hotel situated on Juhu Tara Road.
According to an ATS official, “Egve John was apprehended with MDMA worth ₹ 3.37 crore, while his accomplice remains at large. At the time of the arrest, two kilograms of the illicit substance were confiscated from him. Additionally, another 250 grams were seized from his associate’s residence in Nalasopara, located in the neighboring Palghar district.”
A case has been filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigations are currently underway.
