Bhopal, 14th Nov. The Madhya Pradesh government has taken a significant step to support meritorious students, offering a financial incentive for their academic advancement. Students who scored 75% or above in last year’s Class 12 exams will receive a grant of ₹25,000 to purchase laptops, as per a recent directive from the Directorate of Public Instruction. To facilitate this, the government has issued an order to all district education officers to gather details of eligible students so that the funds can soon be transferred directly to their bank accounts.

This scheme aims to provide technical support for students’ higher education, helping them succeed in their future studies. The funds are expected to reach students’ accounts by December, as per government sources.

In another boost for higher education in the state, Madhya Pradesh is set to open three new medical colleges, which will add 300 new MBBS seats. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated five medical colleges virtually, including those in Seoni, Mandsaur, and Neemuch districts of Madhya Pradesh. Each of these colleges will offer 100 MBBS seats, providing more opportunities for aspiring medical students and alleviating the pressure of limited seats in the state.

This combined initiative not only supports students’ technical and medical education but also highlights the state’s commitment to fostering accessible higher education in multiple disciplines.
