Bhopal, 14th Dec. The Madhya Pradesh government, under the leadership of newly-appointed Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has announced that it will welcome devotees traveling to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh for the consecration of the Ram temple.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 22, 2024.
Yadav, the BJP legislature party leader and MLA from Ujjain South, was sworn in as the new chief minister of Madhya Pradesh at a grand ceremony in Bhopal on Wednesday.
Talking to reporters, he expressed his gratitude towards the devotees from Madhya Pradesh who will be visiting Ayodhya for this auspicious occasion. He mentioned that these devotees will be greeted by applying ’tilak’ on their foreheads as a gesture of welcome.
Yadav also acknowledged the hardships faced by the karsevaks during the Ram temple agitation and emphasized the importance of providing them with all necessary facilities during the fulfillment of their dream of witnessing a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.
To ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey for the devotees, the government will make all necessary arrangements, including food, water, and other facilities.
These arrangements will be made in the areas bordering Uttar Pradesh to facilitate easy travel to Ayodhya. If needed, special trains similar to the Teerth Darshan Yojana will be arranged to transport the devotees.
The Teerth Darshan Yojana is a scheme that allows senior citizens of the state to travel to pilgrimage sites across the country free of cost.
