MP: Congress Announces Names of Mayor Candidates for Civil Polls

Bhopal, 10th June. Congress in Madhya Pradesh has released the names of mayor candidates for the civic elections.
The names of Mayor candidates have been decided in 15 out of 16 urban bodies. However, Ratlam Mayor is not yet decided and that’s why the Congress party has not yet announced the name of the mayoral candidate there. The mayor’s election is to be held next month.
The list of mayor candidates includes names of Sharda Solanki from Morena, Shobha Sikarwar from Gwalior, Nidhi Jain from Sagar, Vibha Patel from Bhopal, Sanjay Shukla from Indore, Shreha Khandelwal from Katni, Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu from Jabalpur, Arvind Singh Chandel from Singrauli, Shahnaz Ansari from Burhanpur, Vikram Ahake from Chhindwara, Ajay Mishra Baba from Rewa, Siddharth Kushwaha from Satna, Kavita Ramesh Vyas from Dewas, Asha Mishra from Khandwa and Mahesh Parmar from Ujjain.
It is noteworthy that out of the 15 candidates whose names have been declared by the Congress party, eight are women candidates.
Voting for urban bodies in Madhya Pradesh will be held on July 6 and July 13. The results of the first phase of voting will be declared on July 17, while the results of the second phase will be announced on July 18.
Meanwhile, the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday announced that the party will contest Civic Polls in 7 Municipalities of Madhya Pradesh including Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Khargone, Burhanpur, Ratlam, and Khandwa Municipalities.
