Lucknow, 3rd Dec. BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde on Monday stressed the importance of motivating and promoting workers who embody the party’s ideology, as the BJP continues its expansion efforts. Speaking at the Sangathan Parv, 2024 workshop at the Uttar Pradesh BJP headquarters, Tawde highlighted the need for aligning the party’s organisational growth with its core principles.
“During organisational elections, the commitment and loyalty of a worker are paramount. To ensure that we retain power in the future, we must motivate and bring forward workers who embody the party’s ideology,” Tawde said, emphasizing the role of ideological outreach in strengthening the party.
He added, “Our efforts should ensure that the BJP’s philosophy, principles, and ideological foundation reach the people. According to the BJP’s constitution, youngsters should play a significant role in organisational expansion through consensus-based elections.”
Tawde also underscored the importance of inclusive representation, urging the party to ensure adequate participation from all sections of society, particularly women. “Alongside organisational expansion, we must analyse sociopolitical conditions and bring capable leadership to the forefront,” he stated.
The workshop was attended by key leaders, including Uttar Pradesh BJP Chief Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Election Officer Mahendra Nath Pandey, General Secretary (Organisation) Dharampal Singh, and former state presidents Ramapati Ram Tripathi and Swatantra Dev Singh. District-level officials, election officers, and leaders of various party wings also participated in the event.
Chaudhary provided an update on the progress made during the first phase of Sangathan Parv. “We conducted workshops at district levels, followed by mandal-level workshops. We are now advancing organisational elections at the booth level,” he said.
Pandey outlined the progress of the election process, stating that elections for 98,000 booth committees had already been completed. “By December 5, all booth committees will be formed,” he added. He also provided a timeline for the upcoming phases, which include the formation of mandal committees by December 10 and elections for 1,918 mandal presidents by December 15.
General Secretary (Organisation) Dharampal Singh shared that the BJP’s membership drive had achieved significant success, with 2.6 crore general members and 2.05 lakh active workers enrolled.
The meeting concluded with a directive for election officers to accelerate the organisational election process and ensure adherence to the timeline, reinforcing the party’s commitment to strengthening its grassroots structure ahead of future elections.
