Bhopal, 13th Dec. Mohan Yadav, the BJP legislature party leader and MLA from Ujjain South, was sworn in as Madhya Pradesh’s new chief minister on Wednesday.
Governor Mangubhai Patel administered the oath of office to the 58-year-old leader at the Lal Parade Ground in the state capital of Bhopal.
The governor swore in BJP legislators Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla as deputy chief ministers.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP president J P Nadda, and Yadav’s predecessor Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Yogi Adityanath, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia were also present.
