New Delhi, 14th Jan. Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, refrained from commenting on former Union minister Milind Deora’s decision to join the Shiv Sena after leaving the Congress earlier in the day, although he did say that his party would accept him should he make that decision.
“I am aware of his relocation. I’ll be happy to have him join the celebration, Shinde stated.
Earlier in the day, Deora said on the social media site X, which was once known as Twitter, “Today is the end of an important chapter in my political career. My family’s 55-year affiliation with the party has come to an end as I have tendered my resignation from the primary membership of the Congress. I am appreciative to all the leaders, associates, and karyakartas for their steadfast support throughout the years.”
In recent days, there has been much conjecture in political circles over his possible joining of the Shiv Sena, which is run by Eknath Shinde.
