Michael Douglas Praises PM Modi at IFFI 2023, says ‘India is in Very Good Hands’

American actor and film producer Michael Douglas commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in the field of film production and finance at the 54th International Film Festival of India in Goa.

During his speech on the significance of the festival and PM Modi’s leadership skills, Douglas stated, “I believe this festival reflects the strength of Indian cinema, which is renowned and respected worldwide. With 78 foreign countries represented, it is evident that you are in very capable hands.”

Douglas also expressed his admiration for Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur.

Speaking to the media, he said, “Under Minister Anurag Thakur and Prime Minister Modi, we have witnessed increased investment in film production and financing. It has been a highly successful period.”

Furthermore, Douglas emphasized the unifying power of movies, transcending barriers of race, religion, and gender.

“Movies share a universal language that brings audiences from all over the world together. They play a crucial role in bridging different cultures,” he shared.
