Kerala 4th Feb. Meenakshi Lekhi, a Union Minister, was spotted losing her temper on Saturday at a youth conclave hosted by a right-wing group.
At a gathering in Kozhikode, Kerala, the BJP leader chastised a segment of the crowd for not chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” even though she had urged them to do so several times.
Lekhi became upset with the audience’s actions, questioning if Bharat wasn’t their mother. She even advised a woman who was hesitant to raise the slogan to leave the venue.
The senior BJP leader chanted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and asked the crowd to repeat it during her farewell speech. She questioned whether Bharat was not their home because the audience’s answer did not match her expectations.
“Is Bharat your mother as well, or just mine? Tell me. Tell me. Is there any uncertainty? Certainly? “It is necessary to convey enthusiasm,” stated the Union Minister of State for External Affairs & Culture. She restated the slogan and said that the audience on the left was still not responding well.
Lekhi said, “The lady in the yellow (dress) can stand up,” pointing to a woman in the audience. Avoid glancing to the sides. I’m going to talk to you like this. I’m going to pose a direct query to you. Are you not your mother, Bharat? Why is this attitude there?” Lekhi chanted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” once more. The woman continued to stand motionless and do nothing.
She said, “I believe you ought to leave the house.”
The minister also made it clear that participation in the youth conclave is not required for anyone who does not feel proud of their country or finds talking about India embarrassing.
