Maneka and Varun Gandhi remain the focal point of the issue; the BJP avoids associations with leaders who use derogatory language

New Delhi, 5th March.
11 Rajya Sabha MPs were also fielded by the BJP for the Lok Sabha

Large states like Bihar, Maharashtra, and Karnataka remain, where the alliance is still being finalized, despite the fact that the BJP has declared the names of 195 candidates, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the first list announced for the Lok Sabha elections. Although many faces have changed in light of Delhi’s future strategy, the party has shown confidence in most of the long-standing members in Uttar Pradesh. A reorganization of the satraps has also taken place, and Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, is being introduced into central politics. While leaders who use profanity have been kept at a distance, Maneka and Varun Gandhi are still under investigation. Eleven Rajya Sabha MPs have also been nominated by the party for the Lok Sabha.

Prominent figures in the field

For the third time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is running from the Varanasi seat. Union Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey of Chandauli, Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani of Amethi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh of Lucknow, Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra (Teni) of Lakhimpur-Kheri, and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary of Maharajganj all spoke at the same time. Additionally, Mohanlalganj-born State Minister Kaushal Kishore has been re-nominated. A ticket has been issued to Sanjeev Baliyan from Muzaffarnagar and to Lallu Singh from Faizabad (Ayodhya). Five female candidates, representing their constituencies for the third time, were given a chance in the first list. They are Hema Malini (Mathura), Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti (Fatehpur), Smriti Irani (Amethi), Rekha Verma (Dhaurhara), and Neelam Sonkar (Lalganj).

Maneka-Varun is still awaiting a decision

The remaining seats are two from Uttarakhand and 29 from Uttar Pradesh. Their equations differ, though. The seats of Maneka Gandhi and Varun Gandhi are also included in this. A decision regarding Maneka’s seat has not yet been made, according to sources, and Varun Gandhi will not receive a ticket. In a category about Maneka, there is also uncertainty. The Uttarakhand seats of Garhwal and Haridwar are also experiencing issues. Not only has East Delhi been stopped, but also Garhwal. According to sources, the party has been unable to decide between former chief ministers Tirath Singh Rawat and Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank because Trivendra Singh Rawat must run for the Lok Sabha elections as well. Because there are a lot of Uttarakhandi voters in East Delhi, this has also been stopped.

A fresh approach in Rajasthan

There are now 15 declared seats in Rajasthan. The BJP has nominated four Union Ministers, namely Arjun Ram Meghwal, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Kailash Choudhary, and Bhupendra Yadav, along with Lok Sabha Speaker Birla.

MP Dushyant Singh, the son of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, has once again been selected to run for the Jhalawar-Baran seat. Mahendrajit Malviya and Jyoti Mirdha, who defected from the Congress to join the BJP, were also granted Lok Sabha tickets at the same time. MP and state president CP Joshi will run for office from the Chittorgarh seat once more. Churu native Devendra Jhajharia, a newcomer, has been given a ticket by the party. Jhajharia has two gold medals from the Paralympics and one silver medal.

Even to leaders who have lost, have shown kindness

The two MPs who ran for Madhya Pradesh assembly seats and lost, Ganesh Singh and Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste, have once again received the party’s vote of confidence. The party has selected Alok Sharma as the candidate from Bhopal, replacing incumbent MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, and has named former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan as the candidate from Vidisha. Jyotiraditya Scindia, a member of the Rajya Sabha, will run again from his previous parliamentary seat, Guna.

Once the alliance has been resolved, a decision will be made

Bihar, Maharashtra, and Karnataka are the states that the BJP’s Central Election Committee has not yet discussed with its allies regarding seat sharing. This is where the coordination needs to be finished. The meeting that is scheduled for next week is probably going to cover these states. Party leaders claim that while most seats have been allocated, some still need to be marked.

Again a lot of changes in Chhattisgarh

The BJP has declared candidates for each of Chhattisgarh’s 11 Lok Sabha seats. Three female candidates, including a former MLA and MP, are listed on the list. Brijmohan Aggarwal, a senior state leader and Minister at the moment, will run for the Lok Sabha seat from Raipur for the first time. Members of Parliament Vijay Baghel (Durg) and Rajnandgaon’s Santosh Pandey (MP) have been granted tickets among other candidates. Saroj Pandey will run from (Korba), having not been present to the Rajya Sabha. Candidates include Roopkumari Chaudhary (Mahasamund), Bhojraj Nag (Kanker), Radheshyam Rathiya (Raigad), Tokhan Sahu (Bilaspur), Mahesh Kashyap (Bastar), and Chintamani Maharaj (Surguja). The party revoked the seats of the current Members of Parliament from Janjgir, Mahasamund, Kanker, and Raipur. Chintamani Maharaj left the Congress party to join the BJP prior to the assembly elections. In the state, the BJP secured nine of the eleven Lok Sabha seats in 2019.
