Mamata Banerjee takes Oath as CM West Bengal for the Third Consecutive Time, PM Modi Tweets Congratulations

Kolkata, 5th May. Mamata Banerjee has sworn in as the Chief Minister of West Bengal at Raj Bhavan at 11:45 am today. Mamata Didi became the Chief Minister of Bengal for the third time. After the swearing-in ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted and congratulated Mamata Banerjee.

The swearing-in ceremony was conducted with simplicity due to the corona epidemic. Mamta Banerjee and Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar appeared on the stage during the swearing-in ceremony. Both of them accepted the greeting with folded hands in front of each other.

She also said that incidents of violence will not be tolerated. Strict action will be taken against those involved in the violence.

After Mamta Banerjee, the Governor also raised the issue of post-election violence. Saying Mamata Banerjee as her younger sister, Governor Dhankar advised her on the issue of law and order. The governor said that there should be rule of law and order in the state. It is expected that Mamata will follow the constitution. Mamata responded to Governor Dhankhar’s remarks. Mamata targeted the Election Commission and said that till now everything was under the Election Commission. The Election Commission had changed a lot of officials. I have just taken the oath and will make fresh arrangements now.
