“Make Peace or Fight Alone”: President Trump Warns President Zelenskyy

Washington- In a high-stakes Oval Office meeting, U.S. President Donald Trump urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to pursue an immediate ceasefire with Russia, warning that continued U.S. support could be at risk if Ukraine does not engage in peace negotiations.

The meeting, initially planned to discuss a minerals deal between the two nations, escalated into a tense exchange over the three-year-long war. Trump reportedly criticized Zelenskyy for not showing enough willingness to negotiate and cautioned that Ukraine must choose between seeking peace or continuing the war without U.S. backing.

Vice President J.D. Vance added to the pressure, questioning Ukraine’s reliance on American aid. Zelenskyy, however, remained firm, insisting that Ukraine would not negotiate without security guarantees. This stance prompted Trump to accuse him of “gambling with World War III.”

The abrupt conclusion of the meeting has raised concerns about the future of U.S. aid to Ukraine. European allies have reaffirmed their support for Kyiv, while Russia welcomed the apparent discord. Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev remarked that Zelenskyy had received a “proper rebuke.”

As diplomatic tensions rise, the outcome of this exchange could have significant implications for the ongoing conflict and the geopolitical balance in Eastern Europe.
