This new city, he stated, will mark a new chapter in the state’s economic development.

The announcement was made during the inauguration of global investment banking company Goldman Sachs’s new office in Worli, Mumbai. Fadnavis said the state government is committed to development and is working with the private sector to build ‘Third Mumbai.’ The new city will host centers for international universities, medical colleges, innovation centers, and research facilities, with a focus on quantum computing and AI-based systems.

Assuring investors of an investor-friendly environment, the Chief Minister urged them to take the lead in the new city’s development through a public-private partnership. He stated that all necessary government approvals would be fast-tracked to ensure a smooth process.

Fadnavis also assured direct connectivity between Mumbai and ‘Third Mumbai’ through ongoing infrastructure projects like the Coastal Road, Atal Setu, and the Worli-Sewri Link Road.

Goldman Sachs President Kevin Sneader said the opportunities in the Indian market are very important for the company. Sanjay Chatterjee, CEO of Goldman Sachs India, called the new office a significant milestone.
