Mumbai, 28th July. The Maharashtra government transferred Vasant Jadhav, Superintendent of Police in Bhandara, and Krishnat Pingle, Deputy Superintendent of Police in Sangli, on Thursday.
The order announcing their transfers also stated that information about new postings for the two officials will be shared independently.
Incidentally, during Jadhav’s tenure in Bhandara, Shiv Sena MLA Narendra Bhondekar was arrested by Jawahar Nagar police in January last year for unlawful assembly and alleged beating up of teachers and staff at a private school under Indian Penal Code and Maharashtra Police Act provisions.
The Shiv Sena’s women’s wing had demanded that Jadhav and the Jawahar Nagar police station in charge at the time be suspended.
