M K Stalin Sworn in as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu

Chennai, 7th May. DMK chief MK Stalin took oath as Chief Minister in Tamil Nadu. DMK chief MK Stalin was sworn in as Chief Minister on Friday morning. Governor Banwarilal Purohit administered him the oath.

33 ministers joined the cabinet along with him. Apart from senior leader Duraimurugan, about 12 new members became ministers for the first time. The list of ministers and their portfolios handed over by Stalin was approved by Governor Banwarilal Purohit.

In the results of assembly elections on May 2, the DMK has got 133 of the total 234 seats in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. According to the final results of the Election Commission, the AIADMK led by K. Palaniswami could get only 66 seats. Earlier, Palaniswami submitted his resignation and the resignation of his cabinet to Governor Banwari Lal Purohit on Monday, which he accepted. AIADMK contested in the state along with BJP.
