Lockdown in Jharkhand Extended for One Week

Ranchi, 6th May. The Jharkhand government has extended the mini lockdown (Health Safety Week) in the state with the existing restrictions from May 6 for a week. Now Health Safety Week will be imposed till 6 am on May 13 and all shops, institutes and offices will remain closed all this while.

Hotels and restaurants will only be allowed for home delivery. Shops that were allowed to open till two o’clock in the day will continue to do so. According to the order issued by Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Health Safety Week will continue till 6 am on May 13. The essential services will be conditionally exempted. Shops related to medicine, health care, medical equipment will be open. Hotels and restaurants will only be allowed for home delivery.

Health Department, Home Affairs and Disaster Management Department under the State Government, all Police, Home Guards, Fire Brigade Offices, Deputy Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Block Office, Gram Panchayat Office with CO and CDPO will open with maximum 50 percent attendance. Other offices will be allowed for work from home.
