LG Sinha Congratulates Stakeholders on Launch of Uber Shikara Services in Srinagar

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha congratulated all stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir’s tourism sector on the launch of Uber Shikara services in Srinagar, calling it a testament to the innovative ways technology can enhance cultural heritage. In a post on X on Monday evening, Sinha expressed his excitement over the new service, emphasizing how it will offer visitors a seamless and modern way to experience the iconic Shikara rides on Dal Lake.

“The launch of Uber Shikara services will provide visitors with a seamless way to experience the timeless charm of Shikara rides,” the LG stated. He further praised Uber for its visionary approach, noting that the service effectively blends technology with the traditional cultural experience of Jammu and Kashmir.

“This offering will undoubtedly provide visitors with an easy and memorable experience, allowing them to enjoy the serene beauty of J&K’s famous Shikara rides,” Sinha added. He also highlighted how the introduction of Uber Shikara will help boost local tourism during the upcoming tourist season.

Sinha concluded by inviting tourists to visit Jammu and Kashmir during the winter season, stating, “Together, we are showcasing the splendor of the crown of India to the world. Winter is upon us, and the people of J&K invite you all to enjoy this magical season in paradise.”
