Chandigarh, 22nd Oct: Former BJP MP Satya Pal Jain has strongly criticised dynastic politics and arrogance, calling them “anti-poor” and “anti-workers,” and urged political leaders to abandon such practices.
Speaking at a Labour Chowk gathering in Sectors 44–45, Chandigarh, organized by the Construction Workers Labour Union on the occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Puja and Labour Day, Mr. Jain said leaders should learn humility from laborers. He condemned family rule where power passes from father to son, daughter, or extended family, stating such practices have no place in a democratic society. “Every common man should be entitled to hold high office, not just those claiming it due to family ties,” he said.
Addressing thousands of workers, Mr. Jain lauded their contribution to society, saying Lord Vishwakarma symbolizes development and construction, and laborers have been instrumental in building the nation. “A true follower of Lord Vishwakarma can never be arrogant,” he said, emphasizing that political leaders must adopt humility to serve society effectively.
He added that arrogance never pays and often leads to downfall, while the poor and workers remain humble despite economic hardships. Mr. Jain stressed that economic prosperity should benefit all, including the working class, ensuring inclusive development.
