Ayodhya, 23rd Jan. The Ram temple in Ayodhya opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, following the consecration of the new Ram Lalla idol. Both local devotees and visitors from other states gathered outside the main gates, waiting for hours in the cold to enter the temple.
Many carried flags with Lord Ram’s image and chanted “Jai Shri Ram”.
One devotee expressed his joy and fulfillment, stating that this achievement was the result of the struggles of their ancestors.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the consecration ceremony and emphasized the importance of building a strong and divine India.
The public was allowed to enter the temple on Tuesday morning.
People who had been camping in Ayodhya since before the ceremony, including those who made long and difficult journeys, eagerly waited in long queues.
The temple gates, adorned with flowers and lights, became popular selfie spots for the devotees. Inside the temple, chants of “Jai Shri Ram” echoed through the grand halls.
The temple complex is built in the traditional Nagara style and is supported by pillars and has multiple doors.
The consecration ceremony was watched by millions of people on television, and various performances and processions took place in Ayodhya to celebrate the historic event.
