Lakhimpur Kheri: Ashish Mishra Hospitalized, Found Dengue Infected

Lakhimpur, 24th Oct. Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni’s son and prime accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, Ashish Mishra, is reportedly suffering from dengue and has been admitted to the hospital.

According to sources, Ashish’s health deteriorated and he had to be admitted to the hospital from jail.

Ashish, who was taken on police remand on Friday, had complained of fever and his blood report on Saturday confirmed he was suffering from dengue.

He was admitted to the jail hospital after his condition deteriorated at 10 pm on Saturday night.

Ashish Mishra was arrested in Tikunia in Lakhimpur Kheri in connection with the violence that broke out after he allegedly drove his car on protesting farmers.

Four farmers were crushed by an SUV in Lakhimpur Kheri when a group agitating against the Centre’s three new agricultural laws staged a protest on October 3 against the visit of UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya.

Meanwhile, three more people were arrested on Saturday in connection with the case, taking the total number of those arrested to 13.
