Kerala Doctor and 5 Others Arrested for Running Spurious Liquor Production Unit

Thrissur, 9th Dec. A 44-year-old doctor and five other individuals have been apprehended by Excise officials for running a spurious liquor production unit located behind a restaurant in Kerala.

The unit, led by Irinjalakuda resident Anoop, who is an allopathy doctor, had been operating in Peringottukara for some time.

The excise commissioner’s squad received confidential information about the spurious liquor production unit, prompting a surprise raid led by Thrissur Excise circle inspector Ashok Kumar. The raid resulted in the arrest of the suspects.

During the raid, a total of 1,072 liters of counterfeit liquor, two cars, and an air-gun were confiscated.

The interrogation of the suspects is currently ongoing, and further details will be disclosed afterwards.
