New Delhi, 3rd Aug. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital.
CM Siddaramaiah presented a traditional wood-made elephant miniature to the Prime Minister.
This is the Congress leader’s first meeting with Prime Minister Modi since becoming Chief Minister of the southern state, where elections were recently concluded.
Earlier, the Chief Minister arrived at Parliament. Siddharamaiah responded to reporters’ concerns about his relationship with his deputy DK Shivakumar by saying, “All are well in Karnataka…There are no differences between me and Shivakumar, we are together”.
Later in the day, he met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at Parliament House.
In Karnataka’s Assembly elections on May 13, the Congress won 135 seats, defeating the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, which won 66 seats, and the Janata Dal (Secular), which won 19.
