The record will remain unalterable and serves as the definitive proof of age throughout the athletic’s sports career. The association will also launch a portal for Kabaddi players to register them with passport number for long life and identity card will also be issued to them.

Kuldeep Gupta, General Secretary of the association said that the objective behind introducing passports is to verify the age which will protect the integrity of sports and ensure fair competition in all levels. Promoting ethical practices and reinforcing public trust in the governance of sports and protecting genuine athletes rights and fostering an environment of honesty and transparency.

Moreover the president of association Mr. Anil Gupta said the association focuses exclusively on maintaining integrity and fairness within sports governance. Its primary aim is to prevent age fraud and ensure fair competition, safeguarding the credibility of sports in Jammu and Kashmir as well as in India. The association seeks to uphold the core values of Sports, Honesty, Fair play and Team spirit.

The age fraud undermines these principles, placing genuine athletes at an unfair disadvantage. It also results in sub-optimal levels of performance of athletes committing such frauds, as they end up competing with their juniors and not their own age group. The association explicitly links age fraud to the erosion of fair play, integrity and ethical competition, emphasizing the need to protect the rights of young, deserving athletes while promoting ethical conduct and restoring public trust in sports institutions.

Further age fraud creates a ripple effect of negative consequences and it allows older athletes to dominate younger categories, depriving deserving athletes of opportunities and recognition. The older athletes computing in the younger age group face heightened risk of injury and health complications due to mismatch in psychological capacity. The association feels the age fraud tarnishes the reputation of sports organisations and raises concern about the governance, Stick enforcement is essential to restore trust in institutions.
