The mats were handed over by JKAKA General Secretary Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta in the presence of J&K Sports Council Secretary Ms. Nuzhat Gul, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest. District Secretary Mohd. Yaqoob received the mats along with district association members.

The mats, supplied by the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), are part of a wider initiative aimed at improving training facilities for young players and promoting kabaddi in every district of Jammu & Kashmir.

Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta appealed to the J&K Sports Council to extend similar support to all districts, stressing that modern infrastructure would inspire more youth to take up kabaddi.

In a parallel effort, JKAKA has also distributed kabaddi mats to the Baramulla District Kabaddi Association, reinforcing its commitment to equitable regional development of the sport.

The initiative is expected to improve training standards, boost youth participation and position Jammu & Kashmir as a growing centre of kabaddi excellence.
