J&K, CBC, Karmayogi Bharat Sign MoU for Civil Servant Training

Srinagar, 6th Aug: In a significant move to enhance the capacity-building framework for civil servants in Jammu & Kashmir, a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed yesterday in Srinagar between the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), and Karmayogi Bharat.

The MoU is designed to institutionalize Mission Karmayogi across the region, which will facilitate structured, role-based, and continuous learning for government officials. The initiative will leverage the iGOT Karmayogi platform to create a future-ready, and citizen-centric civil service ecosystem.

Shri Atal Dulloo, Chief Secretary of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to enhancing governance through capacity building. He emphasized the crucial role of the General Administration Department (GAD) and the Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD) in leading the implementation and onboarding officials onto the digital platform.

An orientation session for Additional Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries was conducted at IMPARD to outline the core objectives of Mission Karmayogi, which includes a focus on digital learning and the transition to a competency-driven public administration system.

Shri Rakesh Verma, COO of Karmayogi Bharat, gave a live demonstration of the iGOT Karmayogi platform, which he described as modular and self-paced. He noted that over 1.26 crore learners across India have already benefited from the platform’s flexible and contextual learning modules.

As a key outcome of the event, the J&K government has committed to immediately begin onboarding officials and launching their customized learning journeys on the platform. The administration has also expressed interest in developing tailor-made blended learning programs to align with its unique developmental priorities.

This MoU marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to build a dynamic and digitally empowered public workforce in J&K, fully aligned with the vision of Mission Karmayogi.
