Prof. Goel emphasized the triad of needo-wealth, needo-health, and needo-happiness as pillars for the vision of Viksit Bharat.

He elaborated on the importance of needo-behaviour in economic activities such as consumption, saving, production, investment, and distribution, coupled with needo-trade for glocalization – thinking globally and acting locally.

Highlighting the role of needo-altruism, Prof. Goel said, “We must internalize the spirit of Not Me but You from the NSS motto and strive to earn more than we spend, becoming instruments of empowerment for others.”

He called for behavioral transformation among all stakeholders – consumers, producers, distributors, traders, policymakers, and politicians – to overcome what he termed as “illness in economic behavior.”

Concluding his address, Prof. Goel urged everyone to become street SMART – Simple, Moral, Action-oriented, Responsive, and Transparent – and to adopt Needonomics as a common-sense approach for achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
