Ranchi, 30th August. The Ankita murder case in Dumka has seen significant action. Ramesh Bais, the governor of Jharkhand, has taken cognizance of this issue. The Governor of Jharkhand has summoned DGP Neeraj Sinha and Jharkhand Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh in this matter.
Ankita from Dumka was allegedly burned alive by Shah Rukh, a young man. Five days later, Ankita passed away during treatment in the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Dumka police have arrested the second accused in the case, a friend of Shahrukh.
Following the incident in Dumka, 144 is in effect throughout the city, and police vigilance has been increased. On Monday, Ankita was cremated. Dumka’s shops remained closed during this. A large number of police officers have been deployed in Dumka for security, and Section 144 has also been imposed, which makes gatherings of 5 or more people on the roads illegal.
According to the Dumka SP, every security arrangement has been made so that the city’s peace and tranquillity are not disturbed. According to SP Dumka Amber Lakra, the case has been assigned to a fast-track court so that the victim can get justice as soon as possible.
