New Delhi, 13th Dec. The Janata Dal (United) will convene its national executive meeting in Delhi on December 29. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is expected to address the members of the party during this meeting. This comes as the opposition INDIA bloc makes fresh attempts to unite and challenge the ruling BJP.
The party’s president, Rajiv Ranjan Singh (also known as Lalan Singh), has called for the meeting on December 29.
This meeting will take place shortly after the scheduled INDIA bloc meeting on December 19.
The JD(U) has been displeased with the alliance for not offering any significant position to Kumar, who is the longest-serving chief minister in the bloc. However, the party remains committed to fighting against the BJP.
The party’s leaders have often portrayed Kumar as a potential prime ministerial candidate who can effectively counter Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, they have not officially made any demands regarding this.
