Bilaspur, 24th Feb. In a significant stride towards bolstering healthcare infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh, a host of new healthcare facilities were unveiled at AIIMS Bilaspur by Jagat Prakash Nadda, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, and Anurag Thakur.
The inauguration ceremony, attended by dignitaries including Jai Ram Thakur, witnessed the unveiling of crucial healthcare amenities and the laying of the foundation stone for a night shelter.
The newly inaugurated facilities, including Radiation Oncology, a 128 Slice CT Scanner, and a Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) plant, mark a substantial enhancement of healthcare services in the region. AIIMS Bilaspur’s rapid completion within three years underscores the Union Government’s commitment to extending quality healthcare infrastructure to remote areas, setting a new benchmark in patient care.
Addressing the gathering, J P Nadda emphasized the government’s proactive approach towards healthcare transformation, evident in the expansion of the AIIMS network and other healthcare initiatives. He highlighted the holistic health policy, which prioritizes preventive measures alongside curative, palliative, and rehabilitative healthcare.
Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya commended the resilience of India’s healthcare system in the face of challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that it emerged stronger and more prepared. He underscored the government’s efforts to fortify healthcare infrastructure, ensuring readiness to tackle future health emergencies.
Anurag Thakur lauded the swift completion of AIIMS Bilaspur and emphasized its significance in extending timely and quality healthcare to underserved regions. The foundation stone laying for the night shelter reflects the government’s commitment to catering to the diverse needs of patients, especially those from remote areas.
The dignitaries also toured the newly inaugurated facilities, including the Cardiac Cath Lab, Coronary Care Unit (CCU), Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), and Laundry, further reinforcing AIIMS Bilaspur’s capabilities in delivering comprehensive healthcare services.
The event marked a milestone in Himachal Pradesh’s healthcare landscape, promising improved access to advanced medical facilities and fostering a healthier future for the region’s residents.
