Jammu, 1st Feb. The Ramban district administration has strongly condemned alleged acts of blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed and has taken action against several individuals for posting derogatory content on social media.
Ramban Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary emphasized that the administration has a zero-tolerance policy towards such provocative behavior and is swiftly addressing the issue.
“We are ensuring that those responsible face appropriate consequences. We have no tolerance for such provocative behavior. The DC of Ramban urges the public to prioritize communal harmony and respect for all sentiments,” stated the DC in a post on X.
The police have filed cases under IPC sections 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings), 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups), 298 (wounding religious feelings), and 505 (public mischief with incitement), according to the DC.
