INS Valsura receives the President’s Colour from President Ram NathKovind.

This morning, President Ram NathKovind presented the prestigious President’s Colour to the Indian Naval Ship (INS) Valsura in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The President’s Colour is awarded to a military unit in recognition of exceptional service to the country in both peace and war.

Speaking on the occasion, President Kovind stated, “It was a moment of immense satisfaction and pride for me as the Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces.” He stated that INS Valsura has a history of professional excellence and has carried out its responsibilities with distinction.

A ceremonial parade was held to mark the occasion, and the President was presented with a guard of honour consisting of 150 men. INS Valsura, founded in 1942, is the Indian Navy’s premier training facility. It is tasked with providing training in electrical, electronics, weapon systems, and information technology to officers and sailors of the Indian Navy, Coast Guard, and friendly foreign countries.

On his arrival this morning, President Kovind was greeted warmly at the Air Force Station in Jamnagar.

The Governor of Gujarat, along with senior ministers, local members of parliament, and district officials, greeted the President. President Kovind arrived in Gujarat yesterday for a two-day visit.
