Indore’s ‘Muskan’ Organization Wins National Award
The self-help group cluster will be honored in Delhi for its outstanding performance in the under-5-year category.

Indore, 13th Aug: The ‘Muskan’ Cluster Level Organization (CLF) from Indore district has achieved a new national milestone. The organization, formed under the Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission, has been awarded first place in the under-5-year category at a nationwide ceremony organized by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The award will be presented in New Delhi on August 15, 2025.
According to District Panchayat CEO Shri Siddharth Jain, the organization was formed in 2019 and includes 332 self-help groups (SHGs) with a total of 3,768 women from 26 villages. The ‘Muskan’ CLF provides financial and other necessary support to these groups, whose members are engaged in various livelihood activities to achieve economic empowerment for themselves and their families.
The nationwide competition, which evaluated groups less than five years old on various parameters, saw ‘Muskan’ CLF secure the top position for its exceptional performance.
The award will be received on behalf of all the members by the organization’s President, Smt. Anita Parihar, and Vice President, Smt. Seema Choukse, from Union Minister for Rural Development Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Collector Shri Ashish Singh has extended his congratulations to all the women of the ‘Muskan’ organization for their significant achievement.
