GG News Bureau
Mumbai, 19th June. A Mumbai-bound IndiGo flight, 6E 5149 originating from Chennai, successfully landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 10:30 PM on Tuesday despite receiving a bomb threat earlier in the day. The threat was reportedly received by the airline’s call centre in New Delhi, prompting swift action from security personnel.

Upon landing, the flight was directed to an isolation bay as per protocol, where all passengers safely disembarked. IndiGo confirmed in a statement that the crew followed standard security procedures, and the aircraft will undergo thorough security checks before being returned to the terminal area.

Earlier on Tuesday, multiple airports across India including Varanasi, Chennai, Patna, Jaipur, and others received hoax bomb threat emails, triggering extensive anti-sabotage measures. Security agencies promptly conducted sweeps and checks which confirmed the threats were unfounded.

The emails, allegedly sent from the address exhumedyou888@gmail.com, prompted heightened security measures and temporary disruptions at affected airports. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining robust security protocols to ensure the safety of air travel.

Investigations into the origin of the hoax emails are underway as authorities work to prevent such incidents in the future.
