India’s Textile, Apparel Exports Rise 9.4% in November
Handicrafts and man-made textiles lead growth momentum

New Delhi, 18th Dec: India’s textile and apparel exports, including handicrafts, recorded a robust growth of 9.4 per cent in November 2025, reaching USD 2,855.8 million, compared to USD 2,601.5 million in the same month last year, according to official data released on Wednesday.
Several key segments posted healthy growth during the month. Readymade garments (RMG) exports rose by 11.3 per cent, while man-made yarns, fabrics and made-ups registered a strong growth of 15.7 per cent. Cotton yarns, fabrics, made-ups and handloom products grew by 4.1 per cent, reflecting steady demand. Handicrafts, excluding handmade carpets, witnessed a sharp rise of 29.7 per cent, emerging as one of the top-performing segments.
For the cumulative period from January to November 2025, exports of textiles and apparel, excluding handicrafts, stood at USD 32,560.0 million, marking a marginal increase of 0.26 per cent compared to USD 32,474.9 million during the corresponding period of the previous year.
Exports of readymade garments during the January–November 2025 period registered a growth of 3.6 per cent, underlining resilience in one of India’s largest export segments. Jute product exports also recorded a growth of 6.1 per cent during the same period.
The latest figures reflect gradual recovery and sustained demand across global markets, supported by diversification across textile segments and growing competitiveness of Indian products.
