Indian Students Host ‘Student Meet 2025’ in Spain to Strengthen Community Ties

Barcelona, 26th Oct: The Indian student community in Spain organised Student Meet 2025 in collaboration with tCGI, creating a vibrant platform for discussion and networking among young Indians studying in the country. The event focused on crucial topics including NIE (Foreigners Identification Number), social security, jobs and internships, and adapting to life in Barcelona.

The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students pursuing diverse academic and professional fields. It aimed to address challenges faced by Indian students abroad and offer practical guidance to help them navigate Spain’s administrative and employment systems effectively.

Speaking on the occasion the Consulate General of India in Barcelona, highlighted the importance of self help groups which aim at students helping each other through their experience. He also underlined the importance of legality in immegration and suggested that illegal immigration is harmful for India in long run.

Distinguished speakers — Mr. Alok Lahad, Mr. Satyajitsinh Gohil (Sam), and Mr. Mihir Goswami — shared valuable insights on academic pathways, career opportunities, and cultural integration. Their sessions received high appreciation for offering clarity on formalities related to residence permits and post-study work options.

The event also underlined the growing strength of the Indian diaspora in Spain and the role of such initiatives in fostering unity and knowledge-sharing among students.
