Indian envoy to the Maldives and other officials convene in Male to deliberate troop pull-out

New Delhi, 14th Jan. Local media claimed that representatives from the Indian High Commission in the Maldives had arrived at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Male, where they would address the events that had shattered the two countries’ diplomatic relations, amidst the continued tensions between the two countries.

The Dhauru Maldives Media, among other Maldivian media outlets, stated that officials would also talk about the deployment of Indian military soldiers in the nation.

It’s interesting to note that the media story stated that representatives from Sri Lanka would also be attending the conference to discuss the departure of Indian military personnel from Colombo.
