Abu Dhabi, 19th April.
The Indian embassy in the UAE has advised Indian travelers coming to or passing through Dubai International Airport to delay non-essential trips until operations return to normal after the city experienced heavy rains this week.

The United Arab Emirates is currently dealing with the aftermath of the unprecedented rainfall, leading to severe flooding in Dubai and nearby areas.

The embassy’s advisory mentioned that while UAE authorities are working tirelessly to restore normal operations, airport officials have suggested that passengers should only head to the airport after receiving confirmation from their airlines about the departure schedule.

As a result of the disruptions caused by the extreme weather conditions earlier this week, Dubai International Airport has temporarily reduced the number of incoming flights, as stated in the advisory.

Dubai International Airport, known as the world’s busiest airport for international travel, aims to resume its regular schedule within the next 24 hours.

Indian travelers arriving in or transiting through Dubai International Airport are urged to postpone non-essential travel until operations return to normal, according to the statement.

To support Indian citizens at Dubai International Airport, the Consulate General of India in Dubai has set up emergency helpline numbers that have been active since April 17, the statement added.
