New Delhi, 3rd Sept: The Northern Command of the Indian Army has released a powerful video on Operation Sindoor, calling it a case study of “restraint turning into decisive response” after the brutal Pahalgam massacre in April that killed 26 innocent civilians, mostly Hindu pilgrims.

In its official post on X, the Army stopped short of naming Pakistan but left no ambiguity in its message. “Northern Command’s resolute operations in Operation Sindoor were an exemplar of restraint turning into decisive response. Precision strikes on terror launchpads and the elimination of perpetrators of the Pahalgam massacre underscore our unwavering pursuit of peace in the region,” the statement read.

The video, also released on YouTube, features a high-definition montage of the mission, including surveillance feeds, aerial maneuvers, and surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) and in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). According to the Army, meticulous planning, niche technology, and human grit ensured the success of the May 7–10 operation.

Operation Sindoor was launched less than a month after the Pahalgam carnage, which was initially claimed and later disowned by The Resistance Front (TRF), a Lashkar-e-Taiba proxy. Intelligence had traced the terror plot to Pakistan-based outfits Lashkar and Jaish-e-Mohammed. The operation was named “Sindoor” as a tribute to the lives lost, symbolizing the sacred red vermilion worn by married Hindu women.
