Indian Americans flocks Times Square for consecration ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Mandir

According to local media on Monday the celebration was of consecration ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Mandir witnessed from Times Square to Eiffel Tower in Europe.

The Ram temple consecration ceremony was celebrated with poojas, bhajans and other festivities across the United States and in Europe.

A live broadcast of the consecration ceremony was witnessed by hundreds and thousands of people followed by the tradition of the Ram Temple ground-breaking ceremony at Times Square.

Temples across North America, including Canada, held prayers and organized festive events.

The massive car rallies were organized inNew York City, California, Washington, Chicago, and across the United States.

One of the official said “The dream of establishing the temple of Lord Rama, which devotees had envisioned, has turned into a reality after a long struggle of 500 years and devotees of Lord Ram from around the world have geared up to celebrate the occasion in their own unique ways on this occasion,”.

The Hindu Mandir Empowerment Council organized worship and festivals in temples from North America to Canada.

People expressed their inability to visit Ayodhya physically, but emphasizd that Lord Rama resides in their hearts, and their unwavering faith is the way of welcoming him back home.

During the groundbreaking ceremony of Ram temple, a digital billboard featured the Ram Temple was displayed at Times Square on August 5, 2020.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams mentioned that this event is of great significance when observing the Hindu community in New York city, cited the inauguration of the temple in the Uttar Pradesh city of Ayodhya.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has planned events in several countries to celebrate the day. Grand programmes were organized in over 50 countries. The consecration ceremony was live-streamed from these locations.

The organizers said that besides 300 locations in America, live streaming of the ceremony was done in 25 places in the UK, 30 in Australia, 30 in Canada, and 100 sites in Mauritius, among others.

Over 50 countries, including Ireland, Fiji, Indonesia, and Germany, broadcasted the ceremony live for the diaspora.

According to VHP, there are 160 countries where people follow the Hindu faith, and various events were conducted in these countries on the day.
