New Delhi, 21st Feb: The Vice-President of the Republic of Seychelles, Sebastien Pillay, met Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan at Uprashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Friday, reaffirming the shared commitment to deepen bilateral engagement.

The two leaders held detailed discussions on strengthening cooperation in maritime security and safety, exploring transshipment opportunities, and improving market access. Both sides agreed that enhanced connectivity and trade facilitation would further energise economic ties.

Renewable energy collaboration figured prominently in the talks, with Seychelles expressing interest in expanding solar initiatives by drawing upon India’s experience and technical expertise in clean energy.

Health and housing were also identified as priority sectors, with a focus on sustainable and citizen-centric development initiatives.

As India and Seychelles commemorate 50 years of diplomatic relations, the leaders expressed satisfaction at the steady progress in ties and reiterated their resolve to elevate the partnership further, supported by strong cultural and people-to-people bonds.
